Is it me or does CNN lose all credibility when it starts using words like "family jewels" in their headlines to describe recently unclassified CIA documents? I know that someone high up probably called it that once, but who's going to take you seriously if you keep comparing everything to balls? They do know that's what that means, right? Oh and who thinks the reason these things are becoming unclassified is to make the Bush administration's misconduct not look as bad as they obviously are compared to all the creepy goings-ons in the past? Me!
Here's the story:
CIA releases 'family jewels' of misconduct reports

And what's horrifying is that they show a picture of Fidel Castro below the headline. So I'm thinking "family jewels" and I see Castro. Its just wrong in so many ways.

Oh no. Jon Stewart is in talks to possibly join NBC and leave Comedy Central's The Daily Show. I read about it here. His contract at Comedy Central ends in 2008. If he does leave, he might be replacing Leno or Letterman. Which sounds boring. Who could possibly be smart and funny enough to replace him on the Daily Show?
Surprise, surprise. Another New Orleans politician is caught in a bribery scandal. This was the president of the New Orleans Parish School Board. I know- shocking.
Former Orleans Parish School Board president and self-styled corruption fighter Ellenese Brooks-Simms will plead guilty in federal court today to charges that she accepted more than $100,000 in bribes from Mose Jefferson -- the eldest brother of indicted U.S. Rep. William Jefferson -- in exchange for supporting a multimillion-dollar math curriculum contract, sources close to the case said.

She fought corruption the only way a New Orleans politician can, by taking bribes.

I love these photos. Maybe it has something to do always wanting to wear dresses as a kid, but then wanting to play outside and make mud pies. This site needs a photo of a bride making mud pies. Definitely.

Update: Wow! There is now a photo of a bride from Louisiana playing in the mud. Its like a dream come true. No mud pies though.
The White House seems to think that by sending out "democrat" Joe "Droopy the Dog" Lieberman to scare the American people on Sunday talk shows, that they can bank on the democrats' popularity to convince the American people that going to war with Iran is a good idea. You know... because that war in Iraq is going so well.
