Note to Obama: I don't think all that many people, especially on the right, are too crazy about being called "middle class". I personally don't care, but a couple of my friends who have more right-sided political views will not ever consider themselves as "middle class" even though financially speaking- they would fit quite nicely into that definition. I tried to explain to them while they are very "classy", by their income they would most probably be considered middle class- but they weren't having it. I think he should take the word "class" out of the rhetoric. Think about what that word could potentially mean. While it could mean this:
Main Entry: class
Part of Speech: noun
Definition: A division of persons or things by quality, rank, or grade.
Synonyms: bracket, grade, league, order, rank, tier

It could also Mean:
Main Entry: class
Part of Speech: noun
Definition: High style in quality, manner, or dress.
Synonyms: quality, refinement

See the problem?

McCain distortions in a neat compact little video:

Wednesday, September 10, 2008

Weird, weird, weird. On aol's newspage, there is a survey next to two videos. One with Obama comparing McCain's policy and his "change" mantra to putting lipstick on a pig. The next is McCain doing the same thing about Hillary's health care plan- comparing to it to putting lipstick on a pig.

What do you think of Barack Obama's "lipstick on a pig" comment?
He was out of line 51%
I don't have a problem with it 49%

What do you think of John McCain's "lipstick on a pig" comment?
I don't have a problem with it 73%
He was out of line 27%

Hmmmmm... biased much? It's funny though, this morning I heard that the McCain campaign was calling on Obama to apologize for his comments, as if he were calling Palin a pig. But in doing that, wasn't the McCain campaign insuating that Palin is a pig since Obama didn't even bring her up? As a former beauty contestant, I bet that would really mess with her and bring out her crazy side that she's shown during "troopergate".Maybe someone should start a blog called palinisapig.com or better yet, palinisfat.com and compare how fat she looks in each of her outfits, kind of like how the media talked about Hillary and whether or not she dressed "too sexy". I guess that would be sexist though, you think?
