Whoohooo!!!! Alan Arkin finally won an oscar! It's about time, he is only one of the most loveable actors ever and so many people don't even know who he is. Sad. SAD I TELL YOU!!! So yay for him and Martin Scorcese who must've given up on the idea of getting an Oscar long ago. Now the big question for me is- why wasn't Pan’s Labyrinth in the best picture category? Robbery??? I loved Little Miss Sunshine but must admit the Pan’s Labyrinth was a better movie. I hadn't seen Babel or the Queen movie but I suspect that they wouldn't be as good either. Letters to Iwo Jima and The Departed though- very worthy and would get plenty of butters if I had done a review.

I don't think the writers at NOLA.com read the articles before titling them. See? That is unless there is a new breed of horse called a "float". Sad story either way.
Update: They must have finally caught the mistake. The original title said the little girl fell off of a parade float.

This is sad. Molly Ivins has died. If you don't know who she is, here and here are links to her columns. The last column I could find was on January 14th and it sounds as if she was fighting against The Shrub (her nickname for Bush) until the very end. Here you'll find some good quotes from her.
