Funny thing, I opened my web browser to read what today's headlines are and this is what I got:

Top Story | CIA Knows 'A Good Deal More' About Osama Than Saying

What!!! You mean the CIA is keeping secrets?!! What a top story!

Are the journalists today really that lazy?
I mean, how's that a headline? I would hope the CIA would know more than they would let on, even if this story is mainly for the CIA and White House to make excuses for the horrible job being done on finding Osama and Zarqawi. Or maybe they are just trying to change the subject from this.

Update: They changed that headline.

Women should be angry. Not only is the president appointing Supreme Court Justices who will always vote against a woman's right to choose, but now they are interfering with the FDA's scientific studies to insure the loops you have to go through to receive emergency contraception is maintained. The Plan B pill, or 'morning after pill' is a birth control pill not an abortion pill which seems to confuse some people. To make Plan B available over the counter instead of with a prescription can reduce the amount of abortions- which you would think would be a good thing. But no, the conservative right seems to believe that by preventing the access of birth control, maybe their teenage daughters will never have sex! Except that they will... and may become pregnant... and try to have a secret abortion to keep their parents from finding out. Oh, but then there are those laws in some states that require parental notification. So then the poor girl keeps the pregnancy secret until she finally goes into labor at her prom and gives birth in the high school gym. Then later we hear on the news about another baby found abandoned or worse and people wonder how this could happen. Well its time people realize that when barriers are put up preventing women from using birth control, some will resort to other more unfavorable alternatives.

I've just read a rumor here that New Orleans is being considered to host the 2008 Democratic Convention. So not only would it be great for the city, it would also remind people of how incompetant the current republican president was in one of the country's worst natural disasters. As of now, his disapproval ratings are pretty high even in the more right wing favored polls.

Bill O'Reilly: Sometimes it isn't even necessary for Stephen Colbert to satirize him. He's pretty funny just being himself. From boycotting the French, to advocating the continuance of Christmas, this silly man never stops. Too bad he's not in on the joke, I'm sure he could use a good laugh.
