I read this funny headline today and I have to say, Ron Paul is really showing his age:
But they say nothing to explain why he "blasted" Lincoln although knowing his unfaltering position on state's rights, I have an idea. I guess it's his turn to get pummeled in the headlines, Huckabee is merely a pulp now. If you go to this online poll, he's leading among Republicans in every state but three. Of course it's an online poll, so take it for what it is- just like that headline.
"Ron Paul Blasts LincolnLincoln huh? How far are they going to go back in time to fight old political battles? Really, the Civil War? I think we've just seen the beginning of the Ron Paul bashing in the media. That's fine with me- he is running for president, plus he's a little crazy on the right on some issues for my tastes. But he is my favorite among the republicans running which isn't saying much. I see this as an obvious move to make him look bad. But why? Maybe because Paul's been so outspoken against the Iraq War? Or maybe it's just a funny headline? They should have just said 'Ron Paul is for slavery', which is the more typical Rovian way to attack someone.
Civil War 'Unnecessary'?
