Jimmy Carter is meeting with Hamas to hopefully convince them to agree to a cease-fire. But the State Department is criticizing him because they are a bunch of boneheads who don't understand that to start a peace process you actually have to communicate in ways other than with bombs.

"I find it hard to understand what is going to be gained by having discussions with Hamas about peace when Hamas is, in fact, the impediment to peace," Rice said Friday, after reports of the planned meeting surfaced.

You see Condi, there is this thing called "diplomacy". You should learn about that word because being the Secretary of State, it pretty much defines your job. But at least you got to meet Elmo! Yay!
