Ooooo, Hoffmania has a video of O'Reilly getting all up in a hissy over the immigration issue with Geraldo Rivera. Its a case where two girls died in a accident caused by an illegal immigrant driving while intoxicated.
Bill seems to be blaming the fact that he is illegal immigrant not the fact that he was driving while drunk. Being the son of a Puerto Rican immigrant, Geraldo sees O'Reilly as being a racist and O'Reilly goes red and steam comes out of his ears. Good stuff.

This reminds of the wrestling shows my brother used to watch all the time. As well Puerto Ricans are not immigrants, Puerto Rico is a territory of the US.

I know but Puerto Rico is part of the US. So I guess he didn't leave one country to go to another.
I think you've lost the point. His father is Puerto Rican which is a Latin-American nation as is Mexico or Cuba. Geraldo's point is that its because of them being from a Latin-American country that O'Reilly had a problem with illegal immigrants. He said he wouldn't say the same things about someone immigrating from Ireland. And according to Wikipedia, Puerto Ricans immigrated and migrated to the US depending on when they moved since it began as a Spanish colony. So you get your facts straight.

I know but O'Reilly's point was that he should not have been in the country in the first place because it was illegal. If they had a more restricting policy with immigration maybe he couldn't get drunk to kill those teenagers because he wouldn't be allowed in the country. As well, the argument is moot in regards to europeans. Europeans need passports to get through customs and need to take a plane, unlike Mexicans who walk across the border passportless.

I saw the segment when it aired in it's entirety. Geraldo Rivera is an idiot. Always has been, always will be.
But, Geraldo's argument has merit. Had not that illegal immigrant killed those innocent Americans while driving under the influence, surely someone else would have killed them.
Illegal immigration is a serious problem in the U.S. It kills me that people try to be so PC about it.
Honestly I do not think people should be in the country illegally regardless of what country a person immigrates from. I just thought it was funny to watch them yelling at each other and O'Reilly turning really really red. Geraldo has been a joke as long as I can remember (Capone's vault?) so its hilarious that Fox News has him as the resident "liberal".
