Four butters for The Good the Bad and the Queen this past Sunday night when they played at the Republic (the old Howlin Wolf). They would have gotten 5 but they were an hour late starting and I had to wake up early the next morning, wankers. The Republic gets butters for having them but minus butters for the sticky stuff stuck to the floor where we were standing- gross. But I loved the show- Damon Alburn's voice was just the thing for me to stop thinking of my shoes that wanted to stay put even after I moved. The music was great and I loved the stage presence of former bassist of The Clash, Paul Simonon. He was having a ball and was cool as hell. If they're not coming near you, you can download their live show for free from All Songs Considered at the ITunes music store- if just to hear the first song, History Song. So good.
