Kathleen Blanco isn't running for a second term as Governor of Louisiana. That's good because unfortunately, she wasn't very effective. She couldn't get people to move their asses when the disaster hit and is still having that problem with the recovery- especially with the Road Home Program. She seems like a nice lady but I think that has been the problem all along. She needed to be a ball-buster with these southern good-ole-boy politicians and not the southern-bell she seems to be. So it seems John Breaux might give it a go or even Mitch Landrieu, blek. The republicans are probably looking at Jindal running again. No one new guys?

Finally some good news from Blanco and her librarian skills put to great use as governor. Maybe her successor could be a High School football coach.
I wish, at least that would be somebody who could get people off their asses.
