Democrats propose N.O. teacher incentives

So now that the preznit is in town to cause even worse traffic jams than ever conceivable, the Democrats thought they would address a worthy topic of concern for many New Orleans- the horrible educational system. Its a big problem that many have run into while trying to return to the city after Katrina. How can a family return without schools for their children to attend? Many have opened since the storm but since the New Orleans Public Schools became charter schools after the hurricane, there is more bureacracy than ever. A friend who teaches has told me of the all the loopholes she has to go through, all the ridiculus meetings she has to attend and the longer hours she has to work for the same pay. She is angry that they are taking time away from her own children without giving her anything in return. If they want to get teachers to stick around, how about making their lives a little easier? I'm sure she will be happy to learn that she may be recieving a bonus from the federal government for staying in the city but I think the people in charge of these charter schools need to find ways to keep their employees happy. But anyway, yay for the democrats for throwing money at the problem! At least its going to something worthy.
