So, who is the D/dick? The guy who said sorry or the guy you don't know if he said sorry? Are you making a funny pun? Why is this an issue anyway? It was an accident. Here is an experiment. Get some of your friends together & go outside. Make a pretend gun out of your arm. When you find a bird follow it w/ one eye closed and the other one starring up your arm aimed at the bird. Now the rule is, your friends lined up behind you have to say some sort of signal word to let you know they are moving out of their position. But since Dick's friend didn't follow the rules, your friends can't either. Tell them to move around while you are pretend hunting. See what happens. I'm sure Dick & Dick's friend are truely sorry for all of this mess. If it were Blanco & Nagin people would just dress up like them from Mardi Gras, make a few jokes & it would be over.
Yes, it was a pun- although I'm not really sure I would characterize it as "funny"- stupid, yes. And of course it was Dick that is the dick. But I don't think he's a dick for that so much as everything else he's done in his political career. And it isn't an issue at all, just something to rag on him about. Just a juicy news story that is quite shocking. But that was at least 10 news cycles ago, so its not even that shocking anymore.
