Good news about my favorite hyperactive songwriter, Stephen Merritt. Not only is he releasing an album with the Gothic Archies- The Tragic Treasury: Songs From a Series of Unfortunate Events, contributing songs to compilations with the 6ths and the Future Bible Heroes, but is also working on a new album with the Magnetic Fields coming out in Spring of next year. And if that is not enough, he will be on tour with the Gothic Archies in bookstores around the country to play songs from the Lemony Snicket books album mentioned above, starting in October. Whew.
